The random doubles competition on Friday 3rd May is optional.

The British Open begins in earnest on Saturday morning, with the first of four rounds of 18 holes. Every player will play two rounds on Saturday and two on Sunday.

The field has a max limit of 72 players.

The first round will have random groups. Subsequent rounds will be grouped according to scores.

Finals
The top five players from each division will play in a 6-hole final when the fourth rounds are completed.
